Contractor FAQ

Dump in the contractor mess. Know the exceptions.

Nivelo is built to turn rough field information into a usable estimate, but the best quotes still come from clear scope, readable files, and contractor review.

What does a contractor need to upload?+

A contractor can upload messy job notes, PDFs, photos, spreadsheets, text files, or past bid documents. Nivelo works best when the file includes the job location area, requested work, quantities, measurements, materials, and any customer requirements.

Can I really dump in unorganized contractor notes?+

Yes. Nivelo is designed for real contractor mess: field notes, screenshots, supplier lists, old estimates, and rough scopes. It will organize the information into a quote-ready scope, line items, labor, materials, and totals.

When will Nivelo need more information?+

If the upload is missing basic scope, has unreadable photos, conflicting measurements, unclear finish quality, or no quantities, Nivelo can still create a draft estimate, but the contractor should review assumptions before sending it.

What should not be left entirely to AI?+

Contractors should still verify permit requirements, code issues, structural conditions, unusual site access, hazardous materials, and final supplier availability. Nivelo helps estimate; it does not replace professional judgment.

Can Nivelo use my own pricing?+

Yes. Contractors can optionally add labor rates, piecework settings, supplier price sheets, and past quotes. Quick Quote works without setup, but contractor-specific pricing improves accuracy.
